Clontibret man Dean McMenamin is gearing up for a mammoth cycle challenge in aid of two worthy charities. On Wednesday next, 3rd April Dean will embark on a six-month cycle adventure that will see him travel over 9,000km through 11 different countries until he reaches India. The cycle is in aid of charities ‘Cycle Against Suicide’ and ‘Concern Worldwide.’ Dean will set off from Dublin next week and will travel to Cork to get the ferry over to France. The annual Glaslough Harriers Road Races took place in cold and at times wintry conditions on Sunday last. As always there was a very good turnout for both the juvenile races and the Senior Open 5k.
