Monaghan’s bid to regain the All-Ireland Ladies’ Senior Football Championship title has received a boost with the announcement that well-respected coach Peter Clark has assumed the mantle of senior team manager for the coming year. Clark comes to the hot-seat with very good credentials, having enjoyed particularly high profile success at colleges’ level. THE reports of the various subcommittees were adopted en-bloc. The Competitions Control Committee report showed that the committee administered a programme of fixtures that was made up of 740 adult games and 645 juvenile games in football and hurling and the Chairman Austin Corrigan pointed out in his report that “with the wonderful success of our County team it was a major achievement to have the fixtures programme completed by the 30th of November”.
