Monaghan champions in All-Ireland Final

This coming Saturday is D-Day for Emmet Óg as they seek to become the first Monaghan side to claim the All-Ireland Intermediate Club Ladies Football Championship title since Emyvale’s heroics exactly ten years ago. Standing in their way of claiming national glory this Saturday (7.30pm) at Parnell Park, Donnycarney is Dublin and Leinster Champions Clontarf.

It’s been a long and winding road for the county standard bearers. One has to go back to the last weekend of July to recall their championship opener against Magheracloone which they won by 1-18 to 3-9.
