BORDER ISSUES IN DEBATE AT EU SUMMIT IN BRUSSELS

MONAGHAN Fianna Fáil county councilor, and Cathaorleach of the Northern and Western Regional Assembly, Cllr. Seamus Coyle was among a very distinguished list of invited public figures to address the 10th European Innovation Summit in the European Parliament in Brussels on Tuesday of last week.

The guest speakers included senior Austrian and German Government Ministers who were joined by leading members of the European Parliament. A number of other eminent European experts joined in a panel discussion, with Councillor Coyle with a strong focus on serious concerns about the e border and indeed the future of the entire European project, Pungent views in advance of the implications for Ireland and cross-border communities in the wake of Brexit were expressed by Cllr.
