151 PEOPLE TAKE CHALLENGE 21

Last Saturday, saw 151 people take on the challenge of navigating the steep, boggy terrain of Sliabh Beagh. People came from all corners of Ireland and some even travelled from the UK to take part. It was a day where no-one was a stranger, which proved that community sprit was alive and well. Many passed the walk chatting whilst admiring the views in this scenic area right on our doorstep in Co. Monaghan.

The first group of 30+ walkers departed the Sliabh Beagh Hotel at 10am, quickly followed by groups two, three, four and five. strong to ensure the safety of all walkers, each group was guided by a group leader familiar with the area, as well as two sweepers at the back of the group and if there were any safety….
