Reigning champions Scotstown are through to the semi-final of the Greenfield Foods Senior Football Championship but they had to dig deep into the resources of courage and commitment to get over the challenge of Ballybay in what was a tough, hard-hitting encounter in Clontibret on Sunday evening last.

In the final analysis though Ballybay are still in the championship but were left to rue a number of missed chances, particularly their failure to convert a first half penalty which would have given them a greater foothold when they were dominating the outfield exchanges.
