ULSTER BANK RETURNS TO LOCAL TOWNS AS ‘BANK ON WHEELS’

NEW ‘MOBILE’ SERVICE STARTED UP IN
CAVAN/MONAGHAN THIS WEEK

ULSTER BANK “returned” to Cootehill on Tuesday last with its new ‘Your Bank on Wheels’ service, although whether or not this new mobile version will impress those who have been strongly critical of its decision to close the long established branch in the town earlier this month remains to be seen.

The bank closed the doors of its branch in Cootehill for the last time on Friday 8th September, removing all signage from the historic Market Street building as it brought to an end its 180-year permanent link with the town. In place of that bricks-andmortar base in local towns, Ulster Bank has now established a ‘Bank on Wheels’ rota for counties Cavan and Monaghan that sees its “visiting van” pull into Killeshandra, Belturbet…
