ROCK LEADS THE WAY AS DUBS KNOCK OUT RIVALS MONAGHAN IN VERY IMPRESSIVE FASHION

A rampant Dublin ruthlessly crushed Monaghan’s hopes of winning a first All Ireland senior football championship quarter final and reaching the semi-final for the first time since 1988 in what was a very disappointing, one sided affair in Croke Park on Saturday evening last.

The biggest disappointment from Monaghan’s point of view though was that they never established a foothold in the game at any stage and were completely overrun by a Dublin team that bossed them in every single position and but for the excellence of Rory Beggan in goals, Monaghan could have leaked at least three majors which would have made for an even more depressing final score line.
