A 25-YEAR-OLD Carrickmacross farmer has been sent to prison for assaulting an elderly local pub owner — in an incident in which he chewed off part of his victim’s ear. The injured party, publican John Joe Cunningham, was present at the recent criminal sittings of Cavan Circuit Court to witness the sentencing of Michael Lambe of Clontrain, Magheracloone.
