SUPERINTENDENT CONFIRMS HUMAN REMAINS FOUND IN CARRICK’S LOUGH NA GLACK

Garda Superintendent Alan Cunningham confirmed to The Northern Standard on Saturday afternoon that last week’s search for human remains in a lake in Carrickmacross reaped some positive results.
“We found human remains from the lake Lough na Glack,” Superintendent Cunningham confirmed, before continuing: “It’s part of a co-ordinated search that has also included locations in Dublin. We’re acting on specific information that remains would have been concealed in that area. It has been an ongoing search by the Cavan-Monaghan Divisional Search Team in conjunction with the Garda Water Unit.
