Scotstown and Latton continue to lead the way on full points after four rounds in the County Monaghan Credit Unions Senior Football League.

Shane Carey and Conor Mc- Carthy were in prolific form as Scotstown ran out 4-12 to 3-6 winners at home to Killanny on Saturday. Scotstown raced into a 1-3 to 0-0 lead, with the goal coming from McCarthy, before Steven McMahon found the net to open Killanny’s account. Further goals from McCarthy and Carey had Scotstown 3-6 to 1-3 clear at halftime and although they were down to 14 men after Kieran Hughes was sent off, Carey notched his second major after the restart en route to a haul of 2-5. Killanny kept going, with Gavin Flanagan kicking four points and Daryl Traynor and Adam Kieran claiming consolation goals, but the senior newcomers’ wait to get off the mark continued.

Latton needed a dramatic finish to maintain their winning….
