Gardaí were called upon at Monday’s meeting of the Monaghan Municipal District to consult town centre businesses with CCTV surveillance systems in order to gather evidence against those responsible for what Independent councillor Paudge Connolly described as “Wild West” scenes which had resulted in damage being caused to floral displays.
