A sketch depicting the marriage of Joseph Mary Plunkett and Grace Evelyn Gifford and Joseph’s subsequent execution, and a beautiful rendition of Irish lullaby ‘Seoithín Seo’ formed part of the launch of Co Monaghan’s 2016 Centenary Programme this week.
A packed Íontas Theatre in Castleblayney provided the setting for the launch, which took place on Monday evening past. Minister for the Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht Heather Humphreys officiated at the event.
