The Monaghan Garda Traffic Unit has won a major award from the Road Safety Authority.
The ‘Emergency Services’ accolade in the Rosa’s Leading Lights in Road Safety awards has been presented to the Monaghan traffic division for their annual Road Safety Day initiative.
The Authority’s Chairperson Liz O’Donnell made the presentation at an awards ceremony in Farleigh on Wednesday, December 9 last. The event was hosted by Teresa Minion, Western Reporter with RTÉ News, fresh from her memorable coverage of the impact of Storm Desmond.
