IRISH WATER COULD FACE LEGAL ACTION OVER SCOTSTOWN, BALLINODE WATER HARDNESS – COLR BENNETT
Irish Water could face legal action from householders in the Scotstown and Ballinode areas who have been put to considerable expense replacing domestic appliances because of the hardness of their water supply, Sinn Féin councillor Cathy Bennett told Monday’s meeting of Monaghan Co Council.
Colr Bennett successfully proposed, with seconding from her party colleague Pat Treanor, that the Council write to Irish Water asking them to address the hard water situation in the village areas concerned.
