THE body of a man was recovered from a slurry tank on a farm at Kilcorn, Monaghan, in the Smithboro area shortly after 4pm yesterday evening, as the search continued for a local man who had been missing since Thursday last, 29th August.
At the time of going to press, a garda source told this newspaper that while the person had not yet been identified, it was believed that the body may be that of 40-year-old Gerard Tierney, who was not seen since 8pm on Thursday of last week.
