At Monday’s sitting of Monaghan District Court, Judge McLoughlin sentenced Sigitas Baranauskis, with an address at Corbeg, Silversteam, Monaghan, to seven months imprisonment and disqualified the defendant from driving for twenty years.
Garda Inspector Pat McMorrow told the Court that Garda Mullens was assaulted on September 16th last whilst Gardaí were executing a bench warrant for the defendant’s arrest.
