Derrylin native Malachy O’Rourke will be the public face of Gaelic football in county Monaghan for at least the next two years and depending on how he gets on in that period, he might well be at the tiller a third year too. O’Rourke emerged as the preferred choice of the four-man think-tank charged by the county committee to find a successor to Eamonn McEneaney.
