GALLAGHER VISITS FORMER FAMILY HOME IN MONAGHAN

Presidential election candidate Sean Gallagher took time out from his campaign trail to visit the house he was born in when he travelled to Monaghan on Saturday last.
 Mr Gallagher, who is the favourite in recent opinion polls to be the next President of Ireland, was born in 17, Devin Reilly Terrace, Monaghan on 7th July 1962.
 The Gallagher family lived at Devin Reilly Terrace for a number of years before moving to Ballyhaise in County Cavan. Mr Gallagher was welcomed to his former home by the current owner Mrs Philomena Smyth and chatted to some of his former neighbours before moving on to Cavan.
 The Dragen’s Den star was educated at Ballyhaise National School and St. Patrick’s College, Cavan. He attended Ballyhaise Agricultural College and worked in Bailieborough Co-op before going on to work as a youth and community development worker.
