Spoilt for choice? – Fifteen candidates in the Cavan/Monaghan field

Fifteen candidates had declared their intention to contest the General Election in the Cavan/Monaghan constitency when the deadline for nominations closed at lunchtime yesterday (Wednesday).
The crowded field boasts four Fine Gael hopefuls, two candidates each for Fianna Fáil and Sinn Féin, one Labour and one Green Party representative, and five non-party contenders.
